1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Swap ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these terms, please do not use this Service.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Swap mobile application and related services operated by Swap Inc. ("we," "us," or "our").

2. Description of Service

Swap provides a peer-to-peer marketplace platform for university students to buy, sell, and exchange items within their campus community. Our Service includes:

  • Listing creation and management
  • Search and discovery features
  • Messaging between users
  • Secure payment processing
  • Item handoff coordination
3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
  • Keep your password secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
4. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Post prohibited items (weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods, etc.)
  • Engage in fraudulent transactions
  • Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
  • Spam or send unsolicited messages
  • Use the platform for any illegal purposes
  • Attempt to circumvent any fees or transactions
5. Transaction Policies

5.1 Fees

Swap charges a 5% service fee on all completed transactions. This fee is automatically deducted from the seller's earnings.

5.2 Payment

All payments are processed through our secure payment system. Funds are held until the buyer confirms receipt of the item.

5.3 Disputes

In case of disputes, both parties agree to work with Swap's support team to resolve the issue. Our decision in disputed matters is final.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Swap Inc. and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Limitation of Liability

Swap shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information on the platform.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes via email or through the app. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
